The Geeky Bit

We know that you want one thing from us: for your website to be there, all the time. We've designed our infrastructure with this in mind, and because of that can guarantee 99.9% uptime (that's less than nine hours a year). Looking at our historic availability, it is much better than this at around 99.98%.

The Network

Green is operated off a stable network, with connections to Tier-1 providers in addition to Tier-2 backups. The network is fast, stable and has redundant capacity - leaving room for growth. We currently have upstream connections via Tiscali, NTT/Verio and Gyron - giving us superb low latency connections to European, US and Asian networks.


The Servers

All of the services we offer are hosted on Xen based virtual servers, running on top quality hardware in some of London's best data-centres. The use of Xen allows for failover, meaning if something goes wrong with a server, all of the virtual servers running on it automatically move to a working server. This helps maintain the high availability as well as allowing for a higher utilisation of server hardware – resulting in lower power consumption for each website hosted. 

Backup Policy

We employ an automated backup procedure to ensure that your data is protected should the worse happen. If you accidentally delete a file we will gladly help restore your files.
